China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway construction prospects

Abstract

The article provides a retrospective analysis of the construction of the China-KyrgyzstanUzbekistan railway. A modern route is given, the so–called "Combined" version of the route "Torugart – Arpa - Kosh–Dobo – Makmal - Jalal-Abad", which involves the placement of a transshipment station in the Makmal area. A gauge of 1435 mm will be used from Torugart to Makmal (165.5 km), and a gauge of 1520 mm from Makmal to Jalalabad (146.25 km) and a forecast economic assessment of the consequences of the construction of this railway is being considered
