Generative AI Policy
Our journal recognises the importance and potential of generative artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to improve editorial processes, publishing, and academic research. We acknowledge the need for responsible and ethical use of such technologies in the academic and educational spheres. Accordingly, we adhere to the following principles:
1. Ethical Use of AI:
All materials generated using generative AI must meet the ethical standards of academic research, including adherence to copyright laws, honesty, and transparency. We ensure that any AI-generated content will be clearly distinguished from human work, and its use will align with ethical norms.
2. Rights to Materials:
All materials generated using AI must be free from copyright infringement, and their usage must comply with licensing rules. We do not permit the use of generative AI to create materials that violate the intellectual property of third parties.
3. Transparency and Disclosure:
We require authors to explicitly indicate if generative AI has been used in the creation of research, data analysis, or article writing. Transparency in the use of AI is crucial to maintaining trust in academic publications.
4. No Automatic Publication:
Generative AI may be used to create drafts, suggest improvements to texts, and perform automated analysis and data processing. However, the final decision on publication and editing remains with the editorial team.
5. Responsibility for Content:
Despite the use of AI, responsibility for the content of the article and its academic value lies with the authors. We encourage authors to carefully review AI-generated results to avoid any potential errors or oversights.
6. Data Protection and Confidentiality:
We implement strict security measures when using AI to ensure the protection of confidential data, including personal information of authors, reviewers, and other participants in the publication process.
7. Ongoing Development and Training:
We actively monitor the development of AI technologies and update our policy in line with new research and best practices. We are prepared to adapt our policy in response to changes in legislation and academic requirements.
