Influence of coal mining waste on drying properties of ceramic masse
Abstract
Ceramic production is an important industry and uses a variety of raw materials. Coal mining wastes, such as slurries and ash, represent significant potential for improving processes and reducing raw material costs. The relevance of developing recommendations for the involvement of coal mining waste in the production of building ceramics is determined, since, along with achieving resource-saving and positive environmental effects, the involvement of coal mining waste in the production of building ceramics, if the composition of the charge is incorrectly selected, can entail an undesirable decrease in the basic physical and mechanical properties of the finished products. This article explores the possibility of using coal mining waste as an additive to ceramic masses in order to optimize their drying properties
